Show Your Pride

Every June the LGBTQ+ community celebrates Pride Month in a number of different ways. Across the globe, various events are held to support and recognise the influence LGBTQ+ people have had around the world. Here at Xpres, we wholeheartedly support this amazing cause and have been looking at ways you can create fantastic designs this Pride Month.

As well as a month-long celebration, Pride is also an opportunity to peacefully protest and raise political awareness of current issues facing the community. Parades are a prominent feature of the month, as well as many other events and educational sessions, all of which are covered by mainstream media and attract millions of participants.

The New York Pride Parade is one of the largest and most well-known parades to take place, with millions expected to attend the 2023 event. On 1 July, Gay Pride London will be celebrating 51 years since Gay Pride commenced in the UK, with huge numbers expected to march in the capital.

Pride Month is so important because it marks the start of huge change within the LGBTQ+ community, as well as the wider societal implications. Although some dated attitudes and injustices remain, things have come a long way since the Stonewall Riots of 1969. We fully support any efforts to raise awareness, improve the attitudes of society and encourage inclusiveness.
